MOCK TRIAL TEAM COMPETES IN NEW HAVEN REGIONALS
February 18th, 2018
Connecticut College Mock Trial team competed in the American Mock Trial Association New Haven Regional Competition over the weekend. Led by Jake Cronin '18 and Lauren Baretta '18, the team has been working on the case since last August, and all the members spent numerous hours and huge effort in preparing for this competition.

We started off with prosecution's strong 1 ballot win against Clark University B, and in the afternoon our defense faced Yale University A. It was certainly a challenge for us, but one of the judges described the trial to be "the best trial of the season so far".
On Sunday we faced two teams from SUNY Albany, and our defense won 1 ballot in the afternoon. We finished the competition with a result of 2-6-0, but with some very close losses. Throughout the weekend, we were able to perform our best and we saw many excellent performances by our lawyers and attorneys.

Congratulations to Alexandra Baskfield '20, who won the outstanding attorney's award which was awarded to top attorneys of the competition.
