
MOCK TRIAL
Connecticut College Mock Trial is a competitive mock trial team within the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA). Each year, in early August, the teams within this organization receive a prepared 'mock' criminal or civil case and are are given until mid-Spring to practiced and prepare for the regional competition. Throughout the year, Conn's mock trial team scrimmages and competes with other schools and within itself. The culmination of the Mock Trial season is Regionals, where teams in the northeast compete among one another for the chance to go to nationals. Through the use of exhibits, affidavits, depositions, and other evidence, the Plaintiff and the Defense must argue their case in front of a judge.
Connecticut College's Mock Trial team meets and practices on a weekly basis.
